Job role

Writer

The writer is responsible for assembling raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting. The key role in post-production is the process and the editor's skill can determine the quality and delivery of the final product. Writers work closely with the director to achieve the end result.

Producer

The producer turns ideas into profitable films and then put together a talented cast and crew. Producers have overall control, but they do bring together ideas that are approved by the whole production team. The producers are accountable for the success of the film. Also producers are one of the first people to get involved in the project, and are the one of the first to offer ideas of the production. And they make the film have a beginning and end in order for the success.

Casting director

These are the people that organise the cast and select the actor that are to be involved in the film. They are also the people that arrange the auditions, as well as signing contracts for the actors. The casting director will work with both the director and producer to assemble a good cast for the film.  They also need to have up to date knowledge of actors with talent.

Director

The director are responsible for the creativity of the film, in order for it to be successful they have to know the style and structure they want the film to be.  Directors have to carry out duties such as shot composition and scrip editing. Directors may have to write the film or script. They also need to have a clear understanding of how the film is going to plan out in order for the film to be achieved

Camera operator  

Camera operators need to be able to operate all cameras and the kit. They need to work with the director to achieve the visual style they want it to be. They need to be able to communicate with the actors and manage other staff operating the camera. Camera operators carry out instructions for shot composition and development.

Editor

The editor and the director work closely together to make the finished film. They are the key of the development of the film. Each shot is carefully chosen and edited into scenes, which then create the finished film. The editor would also work very long hours as they must be able to show good scene to make sure the film story progresses and makes sense.

Production designer

Managing every visual aspect of the film e.g. set and costume, they will work with the director and producer to produce the budget and schedule of the film, to make it a success and profit. The production designer are responsible for the whole of the art department of the film, they should be able to achieve the look and feel for the film. And maybe asked to look at script and judge the cost estimates before they see the director.

Marketing

It’s their job to make sure of the best ways to plan the promoting film, they have to have management skills in order to lead, you should also be able to plan products and launch market research. And would market the film over the media such as radio, tv and press.
