22 jumpstreet clip

Camera shots angles and movement

Camera

High angle shot when Jenko and Schmidt are looking up to thecaptain, this shows that the captain is powerful and that Jenko and Schmidt are vulnerable. There is also a low angle shot that makes the captain look bigger that may make the audience feel vulnerable. There is also a close up of the captain this is focusing in on his facial expression; and at this point make him look anger as he has just found out about Schmidt and his daughter. There is also a wide shot of the environment that they are in, this lets the audience understand where they are. Schmidt and the captain are is on a platform, so this could suggest their higher power that they have over everyone else, as a low angle shot is used in order for us to see the floor below. Also zoom is used when it goes closer into Schmidt face before Jenko realises why the captain is anger with Schmidt. Also mid shot is used this allows the audience to come more familiar with the character with the features. Point of view is also a shot used in order to see the characters point of view this allows the audience to also look at the captain the way that Schmidt and Jenko are which can make the audience more familiar with the setting and the way that they look at the characters.

Sound

The sound in the film made to make the audience feel rather tense, as it is just going to be revealed to Jenko that Schmidt slept with the captain’s daughter. At the start of the clip Schmidt uses Velcro to distract himself from the captain and the conversation, which makes Jenko question what he is doing. Then a sound a constant sound is played for about 5 seconds and gets louder in this time and when the sound stops there is a ding noise to suggest that Jenko has clicked onto what the captain is anger with Schmidt about. Then it goes really quite while the captains is taking to them, then all of a sudden the sound changes and then the shouting and swearing comes out which changes the scenery, Jenko finds it funny. Then the sound goes quite again as Jenko has left the room, so that only the captain and Schmidt are left in the room, so the sound describes the mood and guilt.

The clip shows us what the characters are like and how they are presented and the environment

Jenko and Schmidt

Jenko looks quite immature in this clip as she is dancing around the place singing and dancing about what Schmidt has done, you can also tell from this clip that they have a very casual for the environment that he is in, as it is a police headquarters and most people are dressed up in smart clothes could suggested that they are different and not quite part of this environment. Schmidt also has the same look as Jenko, but in the scene he looks very scared of the captain.

The captain

In the clip the captain looks like he is dressed smart, he comes across to the audience as being very respected this can be shown as he is above everyone in the cube that they are in and everyone is down below which also shows his power over the other and this is how his character comes across.
